NORDP was awarded a grant from Schmidt Futures entitled Increasing Competitiveness and Engagement of HBCU Institutions: NORDP Consultant Pilot Program. This two-year pilot program will increase awareness of and capacity for the ultimate establishment of research development services and resources at each of four HBCUs, to be identified. Four NORDP consultants, to be identified, will provide 300 hours of consulting time annually to their respective assigned HBCU institutions over the project period. With the assistance of an evaluator, to be identified, the pilot program will compare two consulting methods: 1) face-to-face engagement, during which consultants will spend approximately 3 days per month at respective assigned HBCU institutions and 2) virtual engagement, during which consultants will visit once per semester and  one visit each semester, followed by regular virtual contact.
