Crafting Competitive Fulbright Scholar Applications

With the 2025-26 Fulbright Scholar Competition opening in February 2024, NORDP members can learn how to help advise faculty, staff, and administrators on creating competitive Fulbright Scholar applications to teach, research, or conduct professional projects in over 135 countries worldwide. A Fulbright representative will present an overview of the Fulbright opportunities offered for the 2025-26 application cycle as well as share the inside scoop of how U.S. higher education institutions become Fulbright Top Producing Institutions through Fulbright-friendly policies and the Scholar Liaison network.

Presenter:

Keegan Scott is Outreach and Recruitment Officer with the Fulbright U.S. Scholar program. As a Fulbright US Student alumnus to Bulgaria (2017-2020) and former Education USA Turkey intern, he is passionate about international exchange and education. Keegan holds an MA in Eurasian, Russian, and East European studies with a Diplomatic Studies certificate from Georgetown University, and speaks Bulgarian and Turkish.
