he Big Ten Research Development Group is excited to announce its first convening!

All research development professionals at Big Ten member universities are invited to join a one-hour conversation at 2 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

The focus is on the Big Ten Academic Alliance—its history, purpose, and efforts to foster collaborations across 14 of the nation’s top research institutions. The conversation will feature Katherine Galvin, Director of Programs at the Big Ten Academic Alliance.

Katherine will offer an overview of our unique academic consortium and lead a discussion about its programs and resources that could be leveraged as our campuses work to:

• strategically advance research,
• communicate research and research opportunities,
• enhance research collaboration and team science, and
• support proposal development.
