Dr Emily Devereux is Senior Director of Research Development, College of Engineering and Computing, University of South Carolina. She has
20+ years of experience in strategic planning and research growth, research and project teaming, competitive funding landscapes, and
strategic proposal development and competitiveness.

Dr. Dawn McArthur is Director, Research & Technology Development at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR), University of British
Columbia. She has held senior research development positions for 20+ years. She was recruited to BCCHR in 2003 to establish and lead
research development, where her mandate is to enhance research excellence, capacity, and competitiveness of BCCHR’s large multi-
disciplinary health research community.
