Presenter:

Dr. Toyin Babarinde is the inaugural Executive Director of the recently established Office of Strategic Research Development (OSRD) at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Prior to joining UTMB, Toyin served as the Associate Director of Research Planning and Development at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. During her time at
MD Anderson, she collaborated with faculty and staff across the institution and the Texas Medical Center to develop large multidisciplinary research initiatives, identify targeted funding opportunities, and assist in the development and submission of research funding applications.

Dr. Babarinde has leveraged her extensive experience in research development to successfully build and operationalize the new Office of Strategic Research Development at UTMB. In addition to leading a new office, she also provides research development support for major institutional initiatives; facilitates the development and editing of complex funding proposals; and tracks all research development initiatives across the institution.

Career Stories are recorded, archived, and made available for later viewing via the NORDP LMS.
