The NORDP Board of Directors and Committee on Inclusive Excellence invite you as a NORDP member to join us in an informal but critical dialogue about how to start the conversations with your faculty, staff, family, friends and colleagues. We will use the attached Conversation Roadblocks document to get us started and as a guide during the session.  We've scheduled three different day/times in July and encourage you to participate in one.  

The following is a loose agenda for this Zoom session. We've scheduled an hour and half so that we have the time to have honest dialog and exchange ideas. It is important that participants read ahead of time the short Conversations Roadblocks document. NO RECORDING WILL ALLOWED.

• Welcome and Purpose (Starting the journey to justice and action - don’t lean on the folks of color in the group for answers. They can share how they are feeling and the burden they have carried for years.)
• Set Ground Rules for 2-5 minutes (Everyone can contribute to the GRs…be vulnerable, show grace, be respectful, no judgements, stay engaged, etc.)
• Go to Breakout Rooms for 30 minutes (Discuss key points that represent your thoughts about the Roadblocks document and how to move forward)
• Larger Group Discussion for 15 minutes (Have groups share high points of their discussions)
• Brainstorm ACTION Steps for yourself, NORDP, or your institution for 20 minutes.
