This one hour workshop will provide an overview of strategies for developing inclusive excellence in convergent research centers. University research centers, particularly those emphasizing societal benefits, make significant investments in broadening participation of underrepresented students and scholars in STEMM fields and can offer life-changing opportunities to minorities and women.  Research administrators can ensure that research, recruitment, and communication infrastructures for research centers are developed with the best interest of students and young investigators in mind.  The team draws on leadership experiences with federally-funded research centers as well as research in active representation, systems’ evaluation, public sector management and the science of team science. Presenters for this workshop are: Camille Coley, Vice President of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, Theresa Lant, Academic Director of the Arts & Entertainment Management Program at the Lubin School of Business, Pace University, NYC, and Susan Day, principal of Susan Day-Whiting Research Development Services.
